This is a state that is normal and natural - it is not something you have never experienced before. A good example of this is when you are engrossed in a good book or film. You are aware of where you are and what is happening around you but your mind is absorbed in what you are seeing or reading.

I will guide you into a relaxed state where your mind is alert and absorbed in the work you have decided to do but your body is deeply relaxed. It is a pleasant experience and allows you to access a deeper level of your mind to enable you to make therapeutic changes in the way you think, feel and act.

The only change is in your perception of time. Half an hour in normal time seems like only ten minutes under hypnosis.
